Smart manufacturing uses technology to improve efficiency in production environments. Students in this pathway will learn emerging technologies while gaining hands-on experience through labs and simulations. Through these classes at Ivy Tech, they will explore robotics, mechatronics, Computer-Aided Design (CAD)/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM), automation, and lean manufacturing, designing parts for mass production. The curriculum also covers electrical systems, data analytics, cyber security, and smart sensors.
