How Bulldog Ready Came About

For several years, the Batesville Community School Corporation (BCSC) has been collaborating with Ford Next Generation Learning (NGL) to bring a new, community-connected approach to learning to our local public schools. More than one hundred community members, BCSC students, staff, and parents, participated in various phases of the process to provide feedback and help write a new BCSC master plan. In addition, the community helped develop BCSC’s Portrait of a Graduate, a summary document describing the knowledge, skills, experiences, and attributes each BCSC graduate should have. The first stages of the Bulldog Ready plan launched during the 2024-25 school year.

Master Plan

Our multi-year implementation master plan was developed to guide the Batesville Community School Corporation in rolling out this transformational process. Seven tactic team focused on different areas of impact to ensure that all aspects were considered.

This Portrait of a Graduate and the Master Plan were both developed through collaboration with more than 100 Batesville community members.
