Grades 10 through 12: Career Investigation
From sophomore year through graduation, students will be able to choose from one of two career-focused areas called Learning Communities. Learning Communities will allow students more choices so they can dive deeper through focused study throughout the rest of high school. Students in each Learning Community will share similar interest areas, making learning more relevant and providing them with classes with peers who have similar career goals.
In addition, community experts will show, model, and demonstrate their knowledge in and out of the classroom as guest speakers or assistants. Perhaps a local business will provide a demonstration to explain more about a particular weld to be taught in the new Innovation Center. With community members as guest speakers and assistants, students will discover first-hand the WHY behind the WHAT they are learning. By graduation, all students will have the knowledge, skills, experiences and attributes of the Portrait of a Graduate and will be BULLDOG READY.
