Can you see yourself working in medical science? The health sciences concentration will prepare you.
This program introduces students to biomedical science, human physiology, and medical interventions through hands-on projects. Students study human body systems, health conditions, and explore factors affecting health, such as lifestyle and medical treatments. Students will also study basic human physiology and the care and maintenance required to support complex systems. Using monitors and software, students observe how body systems interact under different conditions and design systems to track body functions. The program also covers medical interventions, including gene therapy, surgery, and prosthetics, helping students understand how these treatments improve quality of life.
