Does working with the wonders of electricity interest you? Our electrical concentration may be a good choice.
This pathway begins with essential construction skills, including tool usage, construction drawings, and safety, while also learning about industry roles and key math and communication skills. It then covers fundamental electrical topics such as electrical circuits, safety, the National Electrical Code, and equipment use. The advanced course studies alternating current, motor theory, lighting, conduit bending, and control systems, with an emphasis on installation and safety. The capstone year will cover load calculations and commercial electrical services including distribution equipment, transformers, and voice, data, and video.
