This diesel service pathway teaches students the basics of maintaining and repairing diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks. Students learn safety procedures and equipment use for tasks like electrical diagnosis, Federal Highway Safety Inspections, and brake and suspension repair. They study how to diagnose and service steering, air brakes, manual transmissions, and other key truck systems. The program also covers specialized skills in diesel engine performance, climate control, and advanced electronics in heavy trucks. Internships provide students hands-on experience, preparing them for careers in diesel technology and truck maintenance.
