Would you like to work in a dentist’s or orthodontist’s office? Take a look at the dental concentration.
The program begins by teaching essential knowledge and skills for a career in dentistry, focusing on the role of a dental assistant. Students learn pre-clinical procedures and basic dental terminology. As they progress, students gain experience with chairside tasks, study head and neck anatomy, and prepare for exams on anatomy, morphology, and physiology. The training advances to cover complex assisting functions, infection control, preventive care, and handling dental emergencies. Finally, students apply their skills in real-world settings.
