Have you always wanted to be a hairstylist or make-up artist? The cosmetology concentration will teach you all you need to know.
This program introduces students to the basics of cosmetology and barbering, covering skills like hairstyling, shampooing, hair coloring, facials, and manicuring, along with sanitation practices and business ethics. As they advance, students build on these skills through hands-on practice and learn more about the science behind barbering and cosmetology. The advanced level focuses on mastering techniques like chemical texturizing, hair cutting, and detailed anatomy knowledge related to hair care. In the final stage, students refine their skills, learn shop management, and prepare for the state board exam. Each level requires 375 hours of studio practice to complete.
