2021-2022 Sports Physicals

Any student interested in participating in a sport at Batesville High School this summer or during the 2021-22 school year needs to have an updated pre-participation physical and sudden cardiac arrest/concussion acknowledgement form on file in the BHS athletic office prior to any participation. The updated paperwork must be dated after April 1, 2021, to be valid for the upcoming summer and school year. The paperwork can be found here. If you are taking a class for dual credit next year and have never created a account, you will need to do so in the next couple of weeks.This should not take you more than 10 minutes, BUT DOES require your social security number to complete.

A Call to Honor the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

The Lone Tree and Ross’s Run Chapters Daughters of the American Revolution have arranged for the replica of the Tomb to be in Greensburg on Sunday May 16, 2021, at the Dec Co fairgrounds from 1-7pm and in Versailles at the courthouse on Monday May 17, 2021, from 10-7pm.  This is the 100th anniversary of the Tomb.

Footloose Tickets

Footloose tickets are now available for students and staff to purchase. Adult tickets are $7.00, and student tickets are $5.00. Please send an email or Canvas message to Miss Alison Koch. Include the date (April 23 or April 24) and the number of adult and/or student tickets. The tickets will be held at the door for you. You will pick them up prior to the show and pay at that time. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Barnett and Miss Koch via a Canvas message or email.

Summer School 2021

Details regarding summer school registration will be made available in early May. Contact Mrs. Burck with questions. If students indicated on their schedule request form that they plan to take a BHS summer school course, then their parents will receive the steps for registration in the mail. If not, students may message Mrs. Burck via canvas to request registration paperwork to be mailed or may pick up the paperwork in Guidance (early May). Ivy Tech summer school courses will also be available through the Ivy Tech Summer Exploration Scholarship. When this information has been released by Ivy Tech, it will be shared with students in the appropriate formats. Ivy Tech summer courses are separate from BHS, this is an opportunity for BHS students to build their college transcript. These courses do NOT get reported on their Batesville High School transcript. BHS Summer School will start on June 1st and the end dates vary per course. BHS English, Math and Health courses will all hold mandatory in-person help sessions with BHS summer school teachers. These sessions typically run from June 1st to the beginning of July, the dates/times of the sessions are to be determined.

100 Years of Baseball

We are celebrating 100 years of Batesville Baseball at Liberty Park. Can you help us get the word out for this event? Are you a Batesville Baseball alum or know anyone that is? We will be celebrating the 100th year of baseball at Liberty Park on Saturday, May 15th before our game against Jac-Cen-Del. In order to commemorate this celebration, our plan is to gather the information for any Batesville Baseball alumni from the past 100 years. Our plan is to have any alumni who want to be honored arrive at Liberty Park by 9:30 am in order to be honored at 9:45 am. We will honor them by having them walk on the field as we announce their name, graduation year, and position. Even if you are not in attendance, we will still announce their name, graduation year and high school baseball position. There will also be t-shirts for sale to commemorate the 100-year celebration. Senior Yearbook Ads

Hello Senior Parents, it’s that time of the year again! If you were thinking of purchasing an ad for your senior, read the information below! Senior Baby Ads are 1/8 page in size and consist of a baby picture of your child and a message up to 50 words long. The cost of the Senior Baby Ad is $48. Before & After ads are ¼ page in size and consist of a baby picture of your child, a recent picture of your child, and a message up to 75 words in length. The cost of the Before & After ad is $63. This year we are also offering ½ page ads consisting of a baby photo and two recent photos of your child, along with a message up to 95 words. The ½ page ad is $85. Limited amounts of the ½ page ads are available, so order quickly. To guarantee that your pictures are returned to you, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your remittance, and also make sure to put your name on the back of all photos. You may also choose to email your photos and text to We will email you a proof of your ad for you to approve. You can make checks payable to Batesville High School Yearbook, with “senior ad” in the memo line. The deadline is April 23.
