GET INVOLVED

As a parent of a student at Batesville Primary School, there are numerous ways to get involved. We welcome your participation and appreciate your willingness to be engaged with our school.  Learn more about the ways parents can get involved below:

  • PTO – Join the Parent Teacher Organization to get involved with your child’s education.  This group is open to parents as well as extended family such as grandparents and aunts & uncles and helps plan and organize events throughout the year including the Book Fair, Walk-A-Thon and other exciting programs.
  • Batesville Community Education Foundation – Established to provide giving opportunities to develop world-class academics, athletics & arts, BCEF helps to fund scholarships, facilities, and the development of new and innovative school programs.
  • Volunteer Opportunities – From serving as a Room Parent to assisting with our school newsletter or providing snacks at events, the opportunities to help are endless! Learn more about the fun and exciting ways you can donate your time and make a difference at your child’s school.
  • Tutoring Program – A wonderful way to give back, we are currently seeking volunteer tutors to assist children in grades K-8 who can use additional support.  By donating 1 hour, twice per week, you can make a direct impact on a student’s life.

“I can’t say enough positive things about BPS.  From the beginning, the staff was professional, organized, welcoming and helpful.  My suggestion to parents is to get involved.  I was a class helper for all 4 years (in various capacities).  I assisted teachers with reading and math or whatever they needed help with during my assigned time.   I attended many field trips, field days and class parties.  PTO monthly meetings are a good way to meet other parents and get involved with activities and/or hearing about upcoming class events, testing, etc.  I was fortunate to have been part of an environment where people genuinely love their jobs and who are making a difference in kids lives.” – Gretchen Gutzwiller, BPS Parent
