BIG CHANGES FOR FAFSA LAST YEAR!

  • Submit Your FAFSA Earlier~ Students will be able to file a 2018-19 FAFSA as early as October 1, 2017. 
    • The 2018-19 FAFSA will be used for all college courses beginning with the FALL 2018 semester.
    • The 2017-18 FAFSA will only be used for this SPRING 2018 and SUMMER 2018 courses.  (Mid-term graduates and/or students beginning in the summer will need to fill out both FAFSAs).
  • Use Earlier Income Information~Beginning with the 2017-2018 FAFSA, students will report income information from an earlier tax year.  For example, on the 2018-19 FAFSA, students will report 2016 student and parent income information.

Financial Aid Night ~ Monday, August 14 in the BHS Cafeteria.  ****This will be an overview of the FAFSA form and is an important meeting for any first time parents filling out the form for his or her senior student planning to attend college.  (This meeting will be after the 6:30 pm Senior Parent Night Meeting!)

FAFSA Completion Event ~ Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 4-7 pm in the BHS Media Center  ****This is a help session in which parents/students can enter all information for the FAFSA form and have a FAFSA specialist available to assist if necessary.  If you already have completed the FAFSA and have a SAR (Student Aid Report) and would like to discuss it with the FAFSA Specialist, bring it to this event and they will talk you through the report!
