SAT: May 5th

May SAT: The May 5th SAT will be hosted at BHS. The regular registration deadline, without late fees is April 6th. To register, students should go to Students who have free/reduced lunch or are 21st century scholars can talk to Guidance for a test fee waiver. Two waivers for the SAT are allowed per school year. Students are required to show their admissions ticket and a valid photo id before entering a testing room. If a student does not have a valid photo id, he/she can contact Mrs. Burck for assistance with creating a college board approved id form

Scheduling Course Applications

Scheduling/Course Applications: April 4th at 4 p.m. is the deadline for all course applications, except Independent Study. Independent Study deadline is May 25th. If you are planning on taking Yearbook, AppleCare, MMH Mentorship, Independent Study, or Early Graduation, then you should have received an application from Mrs. Burck. If you did not receive a form directly from Mrs. Burck, then you should contact her ASAP.

South Pacific

Get prepared to travel to the past on Friday and Saturday, April 13 and 14th. The Batesville High School Drama Club and Music Department will present Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific. Both shows are at 7:00 p.m. Student tickets are $5.00. Come watch your classmates as they sing and dance to famous tunes such as “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair” and “There’s Nothin’ Like a Dame.” This well-known musical includes humor and romance. It also makes you think about how we treat people who are different than us – a timeless lesson! We’ll see you in a month at one-or both-of our shows!

BHS Dance Team SCAU Indiana State Competition

The BHS Dance Team attended the SCAU Indiana State Competition Sunday, March 18th. The competition was fierce, and we’re proud to have come away with our highest scores to date and another state title. Thank you to everyone who helped make our season so special!

  • Hip hop – 2nd place, ultimate star!
  • Pom – 3rd place, ultimate star!
  • Power Pom award, and high point award in kick.

KSLA-mazing Race Registration

The KSLA-mazing Race is an “Amazing-Race” styled event where participants are in a race against time, and the other teams, to solve clues, find the correct location, and complete mental and physical tasks as well as participate in team work. Each team will be given a specific route unlike the other teams’ routes. This fun event will be held on Saturday, April 7th, 2018, starting at Liberty Park Gazebo from 11:00am – 5:00pm. Each team will be placed in one 2 hour time slot to complete the course. This event will happen rain or shine but will be canceled if lightning is visible (you will be updated through the use of email/WRBI). The total cost is $15 per team. Children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult (adult must be 18 years of age or older and will be considered a team member). A team can consist of a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 6 people. The first place team for each time slot will win a prize. Frisbee Frenzy Registration

Frisbee Frenzy is an ultimate frisbee, round robin-style tournament to be held on April 28, 2018 at the Batesville High School football field, beginning around 9 am. Teams are made of 4-6 players, where up to 5 players can be on the field, and 1 substitute can be on the sidelines. Fill out this form to register and be contacted with more information. Letter from Sheriff Cumberworth

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office has recently begun to use a new records management and computer aided dispatch system. This system allows them to add much more information so that they can better serve the community. At this time, they are asking for your help. They would like to add those with special needs to their system in order to get them the help they need and handle their situation correctly. Spring Break/Snow Day Information

School will be in session on Monday, March 19th and Tuesday, March 20th for Snow Make up Days. March 19th will be a White Day and March 20th will be a Blue day. Spring Break will be March 21st – March 30th. School will also be in session on April 2nd for an additional Snow Make up day.
