Engineering and Technology Education is committed to preparing students for college and career opportunities by providing the knowledge and problem solving skills to understand, design, produce, use, and manage the human-made world in order to contribute and function in a technological society.

Engineering and Technology Education

This curriculum is designed to help students understand and to participate in the technological society surrounding them. Students are involved with activities, projects, and problems that deal with topics like:

  • Affordable Home Design
  • Designing a Commercial Building for the Batesville Community
  • Engineering Design and Development
  • Improving Product Design
  • Machine Control Design
  • Quality Control in Advanced Manufacturing
  • Renewable Energy Distribution
  • Reverse Engineering

ETE Program

Curriculum and classroom activities are designed to provide the knowledge and problem solving skills needed by people to solve issues related to making human life safer or more convenient. A person who has completed an Engineering and Technology Education program should be able to participate as an active citizen through understanding and expressing positions on technological issues related to the areas of:

  • Biotechnology
  • Engineering
  • Communication
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Transportation
